What is the Club?

The OC Club, Orange County Mayor Richard Crotty's youth program, is a membership organization for kids ages 5 to 19. The Club encourages Orange County youth to participate in recreational activities, and rewards them for doing so. Through partnerships within the community, prospective members can enroll in hundreds of recreation programs offered by a wide variety of recreation providers countywide. Once enrolled in a Recreation Partner program, they can become a Club member for free, entitling them to all of the Club's benefits.

How long is a membership valid?

Membership cards expire annually on September 30th. At least one month before your card expires, OC Club members will receive a renewal notice by mail. Members who are already enrolled in a program must have the Recreation Partner validate their participation by placing the sticker on a renewal registration form. What purpose does the Club serve?

Recreation fills your everyday need for belonging and structure that is brought on by boredom and not enough to do. There are hundreds of recreation programs offered throughout Orange County that you can be a part of. Often obstacles hold people back. Your parents and guardians may be unaware of all that is available; your program of interest may be too far away; or fees may prohibit you to participate. The Club bridges this gap by:

  • Cataloging and identifying the existing recreational resources within the County
  • Providing free bus rides through LYNX after school with your Club card
  • Offering you a variety of recreational opportunities that reach beyond athletic leagues
  • Funding scholarships for those that qualify for financial assistance

Through your membership, Orange County will provide you with the resources and the tools to create a positive future for yourself.

The OC Club's Recreation Partner programs will function as your second shift in education. When you become a member, after the school bell rings you will continue to learn life skills and values that are important to success while having fun. Through our partner programs, you will learn social skills, fitness, problem solving skills, and creativity.
