Image The Club is Orange County Mayor Richard Crotty’s unique youth initiative and incentive program designed to reward Orange County youth for making positive choices about how to spend their free time.  Its purpose is to motivate youth ages 5 to 19 to get involved in character-building recreational activities and to reward them for making the positive choice to do so.

Through many business and recreation partnerships, the OC Club is a one-stop shop for youth recreation throughout Orange County. Youth who want to join the Club can choose from hundreds of programs offered by our Recreation Partners in their school or community.

Once enrolled in a Recreation Partner Program, youth may join the OC Club for free. As a member, each child receives a membership card (valid through September 30 of each year) that can be used to take advantage of the great benefits of being a Club members.

Through business partnerships, Club membership entitles youth to benefits including free bus service on LYNX mass transit (limited to weekdays during the school year); discounts at local businesses; admission to free or discounted monthly member-exclusive events, from free movies to free theme-park admission; the monthly emailed Club Chattah e-newsletter; and the printed Low Down newsletter, mailed in August, May and December.

The Club's ultimate goal is to encourage and reward youth to get involved and STAY INVOLVED in positive recreational activities. Several weeks before the Club card expires on September 30, members will receive a reminder to renew. This requires that youth be participating in a CURRENT recreation program that partners with the OC Club.
